A highway dedication ceremony will be held to rename a portion of U.S. Route 222 in Lancaster County as the 'Senator Noah W. Wenger Memorial Highway' in honor of Senator Wenger’s service in the Pennsylvania General Assembly and his commitment to the people of Lancaster County. Act 63 of 2024 (Section 16) designated this portion from the interchange with U.S. Route 30 in Manheim Township to the interchange with Interstate 76, also known as the Pennsylvania Turnpike, in East Cocalico Township.
House Republican Leader Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) today commended the Independent Regulatory Review Commission (IRRC) for its completion of a two-year review of existing regulations. This review, initiated by House Republicans and various standing committees in 2022, identified numerous regulations that are no longer in the public interest.
