Columbia Borough School District issued the following announcement.
To CBSD Community and Caregivers,
The Pennsylvania Department of Health (PDoH) and Department of Education (PDE) monitor COVID19 cases in Lancaster County, and they have just labeled the county with a Substantial designation.
At this time, PDE is NOT mandating a shift to remote learning for Lancaster County schools. It is also important to note that PDE is only making recommendations to school districts while still allowing for local board decision-making.
Currently, the Columbia Borough School District is using a Blended Learning Model (A/B schedule). This new designation is NOT changing our current model. A small public health team in the district will continue to monitor and make decisions according to the most recent data.
