Rep. Bryan Cutler has been appointed as the Republican chairman of the House Education Committee for the 2025-26 session. This marks his first term in this role.

Cutler expressed his gratitude, stating, "I am deeply honored to have been selected as the Republican chair for the House Education Committee for this session." He outlined his goals, which include increasing support for career and technical education, preparing children for future workforce demands, supporting school choice, and opposing far-left political agendas in schools.

In the legislative process, when a bill is introduced in the state House, it is assigned by the speaker to one of several standing committees. The majority committee chairman can then decide whether to hold hearings and if the bill should be considered by the full House of Representatives.
