Rep. Bryan Cutler announced grants for two charities in his district from the Department of Community and Economic Development Neighborhood Assistance Program. Solid Rock Youth Ministries in Quarryville received a $44,550 grant, while The Factory Ministries in Paradise was awarded $26,000.
“This is great news for two amazing charities in the 100th District,” said Cutler. “Both groups help out those who need it most in our communities, whether that’s helping them with food insecurity or providing free afterschool care, I know this funding will be going to good causes that will help the Solanco area.”
The Factory Ministries plans to use its funds to expand the Factory Market program. This initiative allows participants facing food insecurity to shop bi-weekly for fresh, refrigerated, frozen, and dry goods tailored to their dietary needs.
Solid Rock Youth Ministries intends to renovate its newly acquired facility. The renovation aims to enhance afterschool and summer programs, offering support, fellowship, healthy snacks, and meals for children and families in need.
