House Republican Leader Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) on Thursday commended the Senate's passage of legislation he co-sponsored with Rep. Kyle Mullins (D-Lackawanna) that mandates insurance coverage for biomarker testing in Pennsylvania.

“Today marks a significant milestone for health care in Pennsylvania. This crucial legislation will pave the way for improved diagnostics and personalized treatment options for Pennsylvanians dealing with complex diseases,” Cutler stated.

“By ensuring biomarker tests are covered, we are advancing patient care and empowering health care providers to deliver more targeted treatments. I commend my colleagues for their dedication to advancing this important initiative, which will undoubtedly make a positive impact on the health and well-being of Pennsylvanians for years to come."

House Bill 1754 passed the Pennsylvania Senate unanimously on Tuesday and now awaits Governor Josh Shapiro’s approval.
