Pennsylvania House Republican Leader Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) expressed his approval following the National Football League’s announcement that Pittsburgh will host the 2026 NFL Draft.

“I am proud and excited the National Football League has chosen Pittsburgh as the site of the 2026 NFL draft. Pittsburgh is one of this nation’s great sports cities and, as we will be celebrating the 250th anniversary of the birth of our nation, exemplifies the spirit of American resilience and growth," said Cutler.

Cutler emphasized that hosting the NFL Draft would enhance Pennsylvania's prominence during a year filled with significant events such as the World Cup and PGA Championship. He noted these events would underscore Pennsylvania's historical significance as "the birthplace of American liberty and independence."

“During these uncertain times, it will be a comfort to have displayed for the nation Pennsylvania’s continuing contributions to the promise of our freedoms as we lead the country in renewing our commitment to the founding principles that have made the United States of America the greatest nation on Earth,” Cutler added.
