Pennsylvania House Republican Leader Bryan Cutler and Sen. Scott Martin have announced that they have successfully secured state funding for several local projects in southern Lancaster County. The state grants, approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, will be used to fund improvements in the area.

One of the projects that will benefit from the state investment is the redecking of the Bart Township Bridge along the Enola Low Grade Trail. A sum of $250,000 has been allocated for this purpose. Another project that will receive funding is the construction of a new indoor/outdoor recreation area at Brighton House Park by the Christiana Historical Society. The society has been granted $232,187 for this endeavor. Additionally, $250,000 will be used to create a connector into Quarryville Borough on the Enola Low Grade Trail.

Cutler expressed his satisfaction with the state's reinvestment in the community, stating, "Returning taxpayer investment in important community projects, especially when they have been asked for at the local level, is the impact people hope to see from state government." He also praised the collaboration between himself and Sen. Martin, saying, "I am proud to have worked with Sen. Martin on securing this significant return in state taxpayer dollars for our community."

Sen. Martin emphasized the importance of these grants in improving recreational opportunities in southern Lancaster County. He stated, "Providing recreational opportunities is a big part of improving the quality of life locally and making our communities an even better place to live, work, and raise a family." He also expressed his appreciation for the cooperative effort between himself and Rep. Cutler in ensuring the progress of these community improvement projects.

The reinvestment of taxpayer dollars into these local projects is not only expected to boost local economic development but also enhance the overall appeal of the region. The funding will contribute to the improvement of recreational facilities and create better living conditions for residents.

This successful endeavor by Cutler and Martin demonstrates their commitment to serving their constituents and prioritizing the needs of the community. With their efforts, the southern Lancaster County region can look forward to the implementation of these important projects, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the area.
