Our Preschool through 6th grade students have been competing in a space themed read-a-thon during the month of March where they’ve been tasked with who can read the most.
Prizes will be awarded based on which grade read the most, top students in each grade, top classroom and a grand prize for the top reader in Preschool -2nd and 3rd - 6th.
A huge thank you to Mrs. Zwally for coordinating this and encouraging a love of reading in our students. When we asked her to tell us a bit about the read-a-thon she mentioned parents giving her feedback such as “My child has never wanted to pick up a book until this competition," “My child doesn't even put down her book to brush her teeth," and "My child is asking me to read the Bible to them."
Parents - just a reminder that the read-a-thon officially finishes this Friday, March 31, so encourage your kiddos to get those last minutes in!
