Awards & Recognition | SkillsUSA District Competitions Winners

Genbusiness001

Lancaster County Ctc-Willow St. Campus issued the following announcement on Jan. 27.

The Lancaster County CTC SkillsUSA District 4 Team competed on Friday, January 21, at the SkillsUSA event held at the Berks County Career & Technology Center.  Not all career and technical education centers offer the same SkillsUSA competitions, so District-level teams frequently compete at CTE centers in nearby counties.  There will be another district-level SkillsUSA event for additional competitions on Friday, February 18.

SkillsUSA is very popular with LCCTC students year after year.  Students elect to participate in SkillsUSA early in the school year and spend spare time, both in and out of school, doing extra studying and preparation in order to be ready to compete at the SkillsUSA competitions in the winter and spring.

SkillsUSA is a national, non-profit education organization for students in career and technical education (CTE). SkillsUSA offers youth development training through a variety of programs and activities to promote personal, technical, and workplace skills with the overriding goal of developing well-rounded and well-trained CTE students.

Congratulations to the district winners and to all of the SkillsUSA team members for their hard work!
