DENVER BOROUGH: Denver Borough Fall Tree Planting Project

Denver Borough issued the following announcement.

Denver Borough Fall Tree Planting Event – Saturday, October 31, 2020

 The Borough of Denver will celebrate being named a Tree City USA for the 22nd consecutive year by hosting a rescheduled Arbor Day Ceremony and Fall Tree Planting Event on Saturday, October 31, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., at the Fairview Cemetery, 101 North 4th Street, Denver.   The program will include the reading of the Arbor Day Proclamation followed by the planting of 27 trees on North 4th Street; Main Street; South 4th Street; and the Denver Memorial Park and Playground.  

 The trees to be planted during this event have been purchased through a TreeVitalize Grant and a cash match donation by the Denver Lions Club.  You are invited to attend the event and to help plant trees.  Please bring a shovel and gloves, all other materials are provided.  We hope to see you there on Saturday, October 31st.
