DENVER BOROUGH: Denver Borough Council Vacancy

Denver Borough issued the following announcement.

Denver Borough Council currently has a vacancy on the Borough Council.  The vacant term will expire on the first Monday in January, 2022.  The Borough Code requires the Borough Council to fill the vacancy within 30 days by appointing, by resolution, a registered elector of the Borough, to hold the office. To be considered for this appointment, an applicant must be a registered elector in the Borough who has resided within the Borough continuously for at least one (1) year immediately prior to the appointment.

If you are interested in being considered to be appointed to fill the remainder of this term, please submit a Letter of Interest to Michael Hession, Borough Manager/Secretary, 501 Main Street, Denver, PA 17517, by Friday, September 25, 2020, detailing your interest in the position.  You also will be required to attend the Monday, September 28, 2020 Borough Council Meeting where Borough Council will discuss the position with interested applicants.  That meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. and is held at the Denver Borough Municipal Building, 501 Main Street, Denver, PA.  Please note, masks are required to be worn when entering the municipal building and during the public meeting.
