Martic Elementary School issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.
To help our school run smoothly, I would offer the following reminder to all of our families.
If you are taking your child on a trip and the absence is pre-planned, you must complete a preplanned trip form. You can do this online through your child’s sapphire portal or you can complete the preplanned trip paperwork. In order for this to be excused, you must submit BEFORE the trip. Use this link for more information.
As a reminder, when your child is out sick an excuse note/form needs to be submitted with a reason why. “Johnny was not in school,” does not provide a reason. Please include the reason and date on your excuse notes.
Pick up Line… we have more and more students getting picked up every day. This means we need seamless plans to ensure this works effectively. Our Martic pick up line is ONE lane of cars in the same direction. We cannot pass cars in front of us. This makes the pick up line unsafe. Please remember to stay in your lane and not pass other vehicles while children are loading.
Pick up line submissions need to be to the Martic office by 2:00 PM. This is a firm cut off as the communication needed takes time and since our first graders have specials at the end of the day, we want to make sure they are reminded by their teacher of their departure plans prior to leaving for special. You can call the office or use the easy pick up line link by clicking here. Or use this QR code.
If you must wait for your child in the pick up line, this means something happened to slow your child’s progress while they are walking to the pick up line. Our pick up monitors may not know what that is, but we too are anxiously awaiting their arrival to keep the line moving. If your child is excessively late, we will ask you to pull into a side parking spot and wait. Please know that this is not to make you angry, it is to keep the cars behind you loading and moving. If you know you have a child who takes longer to walk to the pick up line, please encourage them to try to be extra organized at the end of the day when they know they will be picked up. This helps everyone.
