PENN MANOR HIGH SCHOOL: Nine vying for Homecoming Queen crown for 2020

Penn Manor High School issued the following announcement.

Nine Penn Manor High School seniors are vying for the title of 2020 Homecoming Queen while raising money to support Penn Manor families in need.

Brooke Hinkle, Madyson Hodges, Naisha Lamour, Taylor LoCurto, Jasmine Miller, Olivia Nicastro, Alexia Wedge, Anaisha Torres and Amanda Wolf are this year’s candidates. The Homecoming Queen will be announced at halftime of the homecoming football game, which has not yet been scheduled.

Members of this year’s homecoming court are raising money and collecting goods and supplies for the Loft Community Partnership, which provides clothing, food and household supplies to Penn Manor families in need.

Brooke Hinkle is the daughter of Rob and Christina Hinkle of Conestoga. Her father will be her homecoming escort.

Brooke is a member of Aevidum and Mini-THON and plays soccer for Penn Manor and PA Classics.  After high school, she plans to attend college in South Carolina, majoring in biology while playing soccer.

Madyson Hodges is the daughter of Jody and Matt Hodges of Lancaster. Her father will be her homecoming escort.

Madyson is president of Mini-THON and a member of Student Council, the National Honor Society, Young Life and Faith Christian Athletes.

After high school, she plans to attend Liberty University and study criminal justice while participating in the U.S. Air Force ROTC program.

Naisha Lamour is the daughter of Amanta Beausejour of Lancaster. Flerucy Pierre will be her homecoming escort.

Naisha is the president of the Class of 2021 and participates in the Attollo Prep program, honors chorus, the Manor Singers and gospel choir and is a member of the National Honor Society.

After graduation, she is hoping to attend Howard University to major in psychology and music performance before going on to earn her law degree.

Taylor LoCurto is the daughter of Ashley and Chaz Mellott of Lancaster. Her father will be her homecoming escort.

Taylor is a Student Council committee leader, a member of the National Honor Society and Scrubs Club and a volunteer coach for the Penn Manor Junior Comets cheerleading program.

After high school, she plans to attend a four-year college and major in biology before pursuing a medical degree.

Jasmine Miller is the daughter of Jennifer Lefever and John Miller of Millersville. Her parents will be her homecoming escorts.

She has participated in field hockey, track and field and the yearbook. After graduation, she hopes to continue her academic and athletic careers at Temple University.

Olivia Nicastro is the daughter of Marilyn and Robert Nicastro of Millersville. Her mother will be her homecoming escort.

Olivia participates in the Attollo Scholars program, is secretary of the National Honor Society, a class officer, a member of the Science National Honor Society and treasurer of the Young Humanitarian League. She also is an intern with The Equity Institute for Race Conscious Pedagogy and PA Football News. 

After graduation, she hopes to study psychology and journalism at a four-year college.

Anaisha Torres is the daughter of Anisia Ortiz of Willow Street. Her mother will be her homecoming escort.

Anaisha has participated in Attollo, Civitas, Aevidum and the cheer squad. After high school, she plans to pursue a career in business and entrepreneurship. 

Alexia Wedge is the daughter of Lori Wedge-Heroy and David Wedge of Willow Street. Her father will be her homecoming escort.

Alexia has participated in the Penn Manor yearbook staff since freshman year. After graduation, she plans to attend cosmetology school to become an esthetician.

Amanda Wolf is the daughter of Jennifer and Robert Wolf of Millersville. Her father will be her homecoming escort.

Amanda is president of the Penn Manor chorus and has participated in musicals and plays, the Manor Singers and orchestra. She also is class officer and a member of the National Honor Society, Thespian Troupe 274  and the Penn Manor golf team.

After high school, she hopes to attend Millersville University and major in education and Spanish while playing golf and participating in the campus acapella group.
