Senator Scott Martin, a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, posted several updates on his social media account as 2025 came to an end. His posts highlighted both local environmental initiatives and legislative achievements from the past year.

On December 30, 2025, Senator Martin announced that “The Conestoga River is one of the finalists in DCNR’s 2026 River of the Year contest. Submit your vote through January 16, 2026! https://t.co/gjbQzeQb8m”. The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) annually recognizes rivers across Pennsylvania for their ecological importance and community impact.

Reflecting on the conclusion of the year, Senator Martin wrote on December 31, 2025: “As 2025 draws to a close, it is a wonderful time to pause and reflect on the past year and resolve to work toward greater happiness, opportunity and love. https://t.co/tb4WxTTZO2”.

Later that day, he also summarized legislative accomplishments by stating: “2025 saw some true highlights with the launch of the Grow PA program, new laws to protect our children, more learning opportunities for young people, and much more! https://t.co/3w4e5UgEUU”.

Senator Scott Martin represents constituents in Pennsylvania’s State Senate. The DCNR’s “River of the Year” program is designed to raise public awareness about rivers’ conservation needs while celebrating their value to communities throughout Pennsylvania.
