Pennsylvania State Senator Scott Martin, who represents Lancaster County and chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee, recently posted several updates on social media highlighting achievements by local residents and scholarship opportunities.

On January 19, 2026, Senator Martin posted, “Congratulations to Lori Lefever for earning top honors in several competitions at the 2026 PA Farm Show. Lancaster County proud!”

The following day, on January 20, 2026, he shared information about scholarships for students: “High school seniors have until Jan. 31 to apply for $10,000 college scholarships as part of the @America250_PA celebration. More than two dozen will be awarded in six PA regions for the 2026-27 year. Learn more and apply here: https://t.co/1sElPf2Rg4 https://t.co/dM3xtaGIrB”

Later that same day, Martin acknowledged another individual’s achievement: “I appreciated meeting 2025 Merle Howard Award Winner Kyle Welk at the 2026 PA Farm Show! He was honored during the World Dairy Expo for demonstrating outstanding leadership, work ethic and dedication to the industry.”

Senator Scott Martin has completed three terms in the Pennsylvania Senate and leads efforts related to public safety, clean water initiatives, and support for veterans. He has also chaired other committees such as Education and Local Government and played a role in laws protecting children and victims of domestic violence (official website). His district offices are located both in Harrisburg and Strasburg.
