According to recent data from law enforcement agencies and child safety organizations, cases of sextortion and other forms of online exploitation have been increasing nationally. Many incidents remain unreported due to stigma or fear among victims.
Later that same day, Senator Martin posted a message honoring a local resident named Lisa. On August 21, 2025 he wrote: “Lisa was so committed to making her community a better place & she led through her actions. She loved her family & was a loyal friend to so many.
