Senator Scott Martin (R-13) has responded to an investigation into fraudulent voter registrations in Lancaster County. In his statement, Martin commended the Lancaster Board of Election workers for their diligence in identifying these issues.

“Our election system depends on workers carefully reviewing materials to root out any potential improprieties, and I am grateful Lancaster Board of Election workers did the great work of identifying these fraudulent registrations,” said Martin. He emphasized that while the county had fulfilled its responsibilities, it is now crucial for the state to take action.

Martin urged the Department of State to provide necessary resources for other counties to thoroughly investigate similar matters. “I am calling on the Department of State to provide all necessary resources to ensure other counties have the resources necessary to investigate this matter completely and hold the perpetrators accountable to preserve the integrity of our elections and ensure Pennsylvanians can have confidence in the system.”

The statement was released by Jason Thompson, serving as a point of contact for further inquiries.
