Pennsylvania House Republicans are urging Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry to investigate Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner’s handling of the arrest warrant issued for state Rep. Kevin Boyle (D-Philadelphia). During a press conference, House Republican Leader Bryan Cutler expressed concerns over the situation, stating, “The involvement by District Attorney Krasner and his office in the issuance and withdrawal of the arrest warrant issued for Rep. Boyle on the literal eve of a primary election in which he was a candidate for office raises serious questions.”

Cutler emphasized the need for a state investigation into the matter given his perception of Krasner’s office as partisan and unprofessional. Rep. Martina White also weighed in, highlighting a pattern of behavior within the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, stating, “This case is symptomatic of an office that has repeatedly exploited its power, not merely bending the rules but breaking them.”

According to White, the issues at hand extend beyond isolated incidents, emphasizing a systemic failure within the office. The letter calling for the investigation was transmitted to the attorney general on Tuesday morning.

The Pennsylvania House Republicans are adamant about shedding light on the alleged misconduct and ensuring accountability in the handling of the arrest warrant by District Attorney Larry Krasner’s office.
