FOIA Request to Millersville University of Pennsylvania regarding recent course syllabi on August 6, 2025.

A request has been made to Millersville University of Pennsylvania for access to public records under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law. The request, sent by South Lancaster News, seeks a comprehensive list of course syllabi for all undergraduate and graduate courses offered during the Spring 2025 semester. This includes syllabi from all departments, schools, and colleges, regardless of whether the courses were conducted in-person, online, or in hybrid formats.

The requested information also includes relevant metadata such as course titles and numbers, instructor names, department or academic unit affiliations, and the delivery format of each course. The requester emphasized that this information is vital for fulfilling their role in gathering and reporting news to the public while holding public institutions accountable.

Additionally, South Lancaster News has indicated that they are eligible for a fee waiver due to their status as a media organization. They are affiliated with The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy, a non-profit organization that assists media companies and advocacy groups in investigating governmental agencies through Freedom of Information and Sunshine Laws.
