Cutler Comments on Upcoming “Drag Queen Story Hour” at Lancaster Public Library
State Rep. Bryan Cutler — Pennsylvania 100th Legislative District

House Republican Leader Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) expressed his concerns regarding the upcoming “Drag Queen Story Hour” at the Lancaster Public Library, stating, “The Lancaster Public Library has lost its way and perhaps that is why it has lost significant donor support to further its operations. Instead of remaining neutral in some of the most divisive issues of our time, the Lancaster Public Library has clearly thrown its doors wide open for one exclusive set of values – one that is not reflective of the majority of our community. Whether it is in our public schools or our public libraries, the hyper-sexualization of our children at publicly supported institutions must come to an end.”

Cutler’s remarks highlight his belief that publicly supported institutions should not engage in activities that he perceives as contributing to the hyper-sexualization of children. The Republican Leader’s statement reflects his stance on the matter and raises questions about the values being promoted by the Lancaster Public Library.
