State Representative Bryan Cutler announced that several projects in the 100th District have been awarded funding through the Pennsylvania Local Share Account (LSA) program. The total amount secured for these initiatives exceeds $2 million.
The funded projects include a $500,000 grant to Bart Township for replacing the Quarry Road Bridge. The existing bridge, which is deteriorated and has a 12-ton weight limit, will be demolished and reconstructed. This improvement aims to remove the current restriction, allowing local businesses to transport products more efficiently with larger equipment.
Eden Township is set to receive $1 million for upgrades and expansion of its municipal building. In Martic Township, $297,897 will go toward repairing and resurfacing Nissley Lane and a section of Tucquan Road. Additionally, Martic Township will use $80,237 to purchase a new truck for daily and emergency work due to increasing mechanical issues with its current vehicle.
Strasburg Township will benefit from $166,000 in funding to replace its tractor used for maintaining public parks and municipal properties.
Cutler expressed appreciation for the support behind these grants: “This is incredible news for the 100th District,” said Cutler. “Over $2 million is now coming into our community to fund these projects. I want to thank our state senator, Scott Martin, for his help and support of these grants as well.”
The LSA program provides funding from gaming revenues distributed by the Commonwealth Financing Authority under the PA Race Horse Development and Gaming Act (Act 2004-71). These funds are intended to support projects that serve the public interest within Pennsylvania.
