Rep. Bryan Cutler has announced that two local charities, Solid Rock Youth Ministries and The Factory Ministries, have been awarded grants through the Department of Community and Economic Development’s Neighborhood Assistance Program.

The Factory Ministries in Paradise received a $26,000 grant, while Solid Rock Youth Ministries in Quarryville was granted $44,550.

“This is great news for two amazing charities in the 100th District,” said Cutler. “Both groups help out those who need it most in our communities, whether that’s helping them with food insecurity or providing free afterschool care. I know this funding will be going to good causes that will help the Solanco area.”

The Factory Ministries plans to use its grant to expand the Factory Market program. This initiative allows participants experiencing food insecurity to shop bi-weekly for fresh and dry goods tailored to their dietary needs. Meanwhile, Solid Rock Youth Ministries intends to renovate its newly acquired facility to enhance afterschool and summer programs. These improvements aim to provide support, fellowship, healthy snacks, and meals for children and their families.
