Multiple fire departments and EMS companies in the 100th Legislative District have received grants from the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program, according to an announcement by Rep. Bryan Cutler (R-Peach Bottom).
“These grants will support first responders across the 100th District,” said Cutler. “The funding in question will help support renovation efforts and new equipment for our departments, which will help our brave men and women keep our community safe.”
The recipients of this round of funding include Bart Township Fire Co., Christiana Community Ambulance Association, Christiana Fire Co. No. 1, Gap Fire Co., Keystone Wildfire Crew, Paradise and Leaman Place Fire Co., Quarryville Fire Co. No. 1, Rawlinsville Fire Co., Robert Fulton Fire Co., Strasburg Fire Co. No. 1, Wakefield Ambulance Association, White Horse Fire Co. EMS, and White Horse Fire Co.
Grant amounts range from $12,014 to $24,632 for each organization.
The grant program is managed by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner (OSFC). It supports projects such as construction or renovation of facilities for fire or ambulance companies, equipment purchases or repairs, training initiatives, and debt reduction.
Rep. Bryan Cutler represents southern Lancaster County’s 100th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and has served as Speaker of the House. He has sponsored legislation to enhance fraud detection in energy assistance programs and worked on reforms related to hospital accreditation redundancies. According to his official website, he has supported measures for trauma centers in rural areas and promoted equal access between mental health care and physical health services.
