Cutler announces funding for local fire departments and EMS companies

Rep. Bryan Cutler has announced that several fire departments and EMS companies have been awarded funding through the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program. The program, administered by the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner, aims to support first responders with financial assistance.

Cutler expressed his satisfaction with the news, stating, “This is excellent news for fire departments and EMS companies across our community.” He emphasized that the funds would aid in covering renovation costs or acquiring new equipment for these organizations.

The following groups received grants: Bart Township Fire Co. ($14,600), Christiana Community Ambulance Association ($15,000), Christiana Fire Co. No. 1 ($15,891), Gap Fire Co. ($16,322), Keystone Wildfire Crew ($12,018), Paradise and Leaman Place Fire Co. ($13,309), Quarryville Fire Co. No. 1 ($15,030), Rawlinsville Fire Co. ($24,663), Robert Fulton Fire Co. ($12,879), Strasburg Fire Co. No. 1 ($13,955), Wakefield Ambulance Association ($15,000), White Horse Fire Co. EMS ($15,000) and White Horse Fire Co. ($13,524).

The grant program supports projects such as facility construction or renovation for fire or ambulance services and covers expenses related to equipment purchase or repair, training initiatives or debt reduction.
